Using Markdown and Tumblr to Teach a Class

Plan of action in teaching a class using Tumblr

I am trying to post part of the messages that I send out using the “learn” management system to here in this account. You are welcome to browse these lessons and use the Tumblr to work out your own. It’s best if you set up an account on this service (it’s free) and then follow my tumblelogs (these posts are called tumble logs). You can also find part of the posts in the wikispaces document.

If you are a student in HLTH 460, here are specific instructions:

  1. Read the posts in tumblr or posterous, or on the UC learn site
  2. Post your observations and comment on it
  3. Mention your name in the commenting section so that I know who you are and I can credit your comments, The point is to be flexible, you see, so that even if you cannot access the messages in one format say the “Learn” system, you can access the lessons and have an opportunity in some other way.

Be sure to check out your email account, and the UC Learn system for more information and updates. Please let me know if this works for you.
