This new browser, rockmelt …

Got to say that I am highly impressed with  this new browser that sits on my desktop, “Rockmelt” http://www.rockmelt.com. Based on Chromium 10, it’s probably the best “social browser” that I have come across so far (better than Flock, for example in many ways, faster, easier, and gets rid of checking sites).

It has a very clean interface the thing that I really like about it. It has two columns on either side of the main window (the left has all your either “starred” or otherwise friends from facebook), and the right side contains all chrome apps that you can either add by default (quite impressive), or from Google Chrome Apps. There’s even support for reading webpages later (although for some reason my browser does not have it yet).

It’s a very dynamic browser, and if you are a type who enjoys keeping up to the latest happenings around you as they occur, you can put this browser to some really impressive use. You can get rid of your Tweetdeck/Facebook checker/Twitter checker apps and just focus on your work (everything else happens “around” you, quite literally, as you work your way). I really like this one, great for productivity and unobtrusive focus on work while keeping in touch with the social sphere, as it were. If you read this post, I’d encourage you to give it a shot, here: http://www.rockmelt.com
